Though exes Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall may face off against each other on their HGTV show, in real life, El Moussa is sending Hall good vibes.
Christina Hall’s husband of nearly three years, Josh Hall, filed for divorce earlier this month. Now — in a video shared by E! News on July 23 — El Moussa and his wife, former “Selling Sunset” star Heather Rae El Moussa, spoke to paparazzi about the split.
“I think life’s tough, s— happens,” Tarek El Moussa said. “I think she’s gonna get through this.”
“We’re here to support her. We got one shot at life, we gotta do what’s best for us,” he said. “Whatever she needs, we’re here to help.”
Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall rose to fame as a couple on HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” show. They were married from 2009 to 2018 and share two children, Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8.
Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa (nee Young) tied the knot in October 2021. Heather Rae El Moussa first rose to fame on Netflix’s “Selling Sunset.” She currently co-stars with her husband on HGTV’s “The Flipping El Moussas.” The pair share 1-year-old son Tristan.
The El Moussas and the Halls are set to costar in a new HGTV home renovation series, “The Flip Off.” The show, according to a press release, features the two couples competing “to see who can find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest financial gain.”
Heather Rae El Moussa said in the newly released E! News video that the show will now just be “us against her.”
Representatives for HGTV did not immediately respond to TODAY.com’s request for comment.
Despite the concept of the show, she said, the women of the show do occasionally “gang up” on Tarek El Moussa.
He also joked that it’s likely “at some point, it’ll be the girls against me.”
He added he isn’t sure how the show will address the Halls’ divorce.
“There’s a lot of really funny scenes though,” he said. “The show’s going to be a lot of fun.”
When asked about cutting Josh Hall out of the show, Tarek El Moussa said, “We can’t really talk about that because we don’t know if he was cut out or we don’t know if he quit. We don’t really have the details.”
Heather Rea El Moussa added, “That’s not our business.”
HGTV’s website says “The Flip Off” is slated to air in “early 2025.”
